This section covers what is actually changing in Ghanaian education: how school placement works and what it decides, what schools charge and what they leave off the fee schedule, how examinations are run, and the policy decisions that reach families before they reach the news.
We write for the person who has to act on the information — a parent choosing between two schools, a candidate who has just been placed somewhere they did not choose, a family working out what a year actually costs. That shapes what goes in. Where a process has a deadline, we say when it closes. Where a decision is irreversible, we say so.
What we do not do is repeat announcements without explaining them. An announcement that a window has opened is not useful on its own; what matters is who it applies to, what it cannot fix, and what happens if you miss it. Where the current dates or forms are held by the Ghana Education Service, WAEC or the Ministry of Education, we say that plainly and send you to the official source rather than reproducing a figure that may already be out of date.
